The 6-Week Launch Calendar
Week 3: The UGC Ignition
Goal: Encouraging fans to make videos.
- Tue: The “Open Verse” / Duet. Post a version with a gap for fans to add their own verse or harmony.
- Thu: The Tutorial. Show how the beat was made or explain a specific vocal run.
- Sat: The Lifestyle Utility. Post a “POV” video (e.g., “POV: You finally left that toxic relationship”) using your song as the soundtrack.
Week 2: The Countdown
Goal: High-frequency hype.
- Daily: Use Instagram/TikTok Stories to show a “7 days to go” countdown.
- Wed: The Acoustic/Alternative Snippet. Show a different side of the song to prove “artistry.”
- Fri: The Influencer Push. This is when any paid or organic influencer “creates” should start appearing in feeds.
Week 1: Release & Chart Week (Go Time!)
Goal: Velocity and Volume.
- Friday (Release Day): The Multi-Post. Post at 8 AM, 12 PM, and 6 PM. Go LIVE to host a listening party.
- Mon: The Performance. A “Live in the Studio” or “One Take” video to drive secondary interest.
- Wed: The “Remix” Drop. Release the “Sped Up” and “Slowed” versions to double your stream count.
- Thu (Final Hours): The “Last Call” Sale. Push the $0.69 digital download on your site for final chart points before the window closes at midnight.
Week 6: The Breadcrumb Phase
Goal: Subconscious familiarity.
- Mon: The Vibe Check. Post a lo-fi video of the song’s “mood” (e.g., a sunset, a fast drive) with only the instrumental playing.
- Wed: The Reaction. Film yourself (or a friend) hearing the mastered “drop” for the first time. No context, just “Soon.”
- Fri: The Lyric Leak. Post a text-on-screen video of the most relatable lyric. Ask: “Who needs to hear this?”
Week 5: The Hook Phase
Goal: Creating “Demand” before “Supply”.
- Mon: The 15-Second Snippet. Post the most catchy part. If people ask for the name, do not give it yet.
- Wed: “Reply to Comment.” Find a comment asking for the release date and reply with a video snippet of a different part of the song.
- Sat: The Aesthetic Shoot. Share high-quality “cover art” vibes or a “Get Ready With Me” (GRWM) featuring the song.
Week 4: The Official Announcement
Goal: Conversion (Pre-Saves).
- Tue: The Reveal. Official cover art and release date announcement. Link in bio is now the Pre-Save link.
- Thu: The Story. Tell the “Lore” behind the song. Why did you write it? Use a vulnerable “Storytime” format.
- Sun: The Pre-Save Incentive. Announce a giveaway or exclusive Discord access for anyone who sends a screenshot of their pre-save.
